Members, employers alike favor case management
Survey confirms case management importance and popularity

We know that health care management services can reduce costs and improve outcomes. But do customers and their employees share our enthusiasm? Well, here's good news. According to a survey published in the June 2003 issue of Risk & Insurance, over 90 percent of health plan participants gave positive ratings to services such as case management, disease and maternity management and a 24-hour nurseline. Click here and scroll down to Risk & Insurance, June 2003, “Case management’s new era.”

On call around the clock – personal advice
Health advocacy provides answers, and savings

The ability to talk with a nurse 24 hours a day certainly sounds like a good idea. And now there's evidence that services like these really pay off, and more importantly, consumers like the accessibility. 95 percent of participants who called the 24-hour nurseline for information and counseling rated the service positively and 65% said the conversation with the nurse influenced their health care decisions. Employees are, in fact, using health advocacy and health care management services to make decisions about their health care. That's good news for everyone.
